Turn off devices that load the network. Streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, Spotify), apps downloading large files, online games – all distort the result. Turn them off 1-2 minutes before the measurement.
Connect with a cable if possible. An Ethernet connection is 30-50% more stable and faster than Wi-Fi. This is the only way to measure the actual speed provided by your service provider.
Restart the router – unplug it from power for at least 30 seconds. This clears the memory and refreshes the connection to your provider.
